If you are like me you love any event that brings the love of the Earth Sciences and Geology in particular into the lives of children.
Because, as the saying goes, the children are our future. Well, in Flint they are making sure that their future includes a love of rocks, gems and minerals!
The other day Jim Adams of the Flint Rock and Gem Club posted the following message on our Facebook page:
Today five members of the Flint Rock and Gem Club including yours truly set up displays and demonstrated lapidary arts at the Flint Area Science Fair, at Kettering University in Flint Michigan. It was good to see lots of young students and adults becoming better acquainted with our hobby. Here are some pictures from this event.
